Circuit design of led light: Circuit design of led light includes series circuit and parallel connection circuit, and series-parallel connection circuit. The advantage of the series circuit is that the current is constant and the LED driven current is easy to control. Disadvantage is that if one of the LEDs is damaged, the other LEDs will stop working, but it won’t affect the LED life span of other LEDs. The advantage of parallel connection circuit is that one of the LED is damaged, and all the other ones can go on work. The disadvantage is that when one of the LED is damaged, the current will increase and burn out other LEDs if there is no limiting resistor. And a single LED driving voltage is very low which cause most of the voltages are work useless which is a kind of waste for resources.

At present, the series-parallel connection circuit is general circuit used for led strip, use series circuit design to connect some LEDs for a unit and use parallel connection circuit design to connect with other units can maximize the power supply voltage of the improvement of the utilization rate, reduce useless loss.

At the same time, use series circuit design to connect several LEDs can guarantee that the LEDs driven current is consistent, benefits for LED to constant current which ensure the service life of led strip. Parallel some LED lights which are series-wound can make sure that when one of the groups of LEDs is damaged, the other groups can work. At the same time, because each group has a limited flow resistance, therefore, when one of the LED group is damaged, it won’t influence other groups using life.
