Divine Mercy Salvation By Jedidiah Berachah Near end of humanity but now it is prolonged The world is nearing to it’s end. Proof of this is what was written in The Holy Bible or The Holy Scriptures (This is non other that The Word Of God). There have been earthquakes in various parts all over the world. There are also continuous conflict of Nations around the world including wars and rumors of wars in some parts of the world. In addition to this is the famine and pestilence that are spread also in some parts of the world. These things are all written in the bible. For now, we should not be alarmed that this will happened soon. Thanks for the religious order like the priest, the nuns because of them God is prolonging the day of destruction of this wicked world. We should compliment Blessed Sister Saint Faustina because St. Faustina was told by Our Lord Jesus Christ concerning this. The Lord told St. Faustina that we should show mercy to our neighbours because on the day of judgment which is the second coming of Our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, we will not receive mercy if we did not show mercy on our neighbours. There are three (3) kinds of way in which we can show mercy. First is by deed of action showing actual-physical form of mercy. Second is by words of mercy and third is by prayer. The Three O’clock Prayer and The Chaplet To The Divine Mercy are some of these prayers showing mercy to our neighbours. Because of this we can say that “Mercy“ triumphs over judgment. St. Faustina asked The Lord how He can just ignored some of the wickedness that is happening all over the world. In reply the Lord said that “I have eternity for punishment“. Also the Lord told her that He is prolonging the day of destruction to give a chance for sinners to be converted. The Lord instructed St. Faustina to spread the good news of The Divine Mercy. Sufferings is the greatest treasure on earth according to St. Faustina. With this, we purify our souls and we can tell who are our true friends, said the Saint. I believe that if you have no treasures in heaven and you have only treasures on earth, you will not be saved after your term expires here on earth. Treasures in heaven is very very different compared to treasures here on earth. I agree with this because what’s the use of so much acquisition of properties if after death you will go to hell. Money is nothing and sufferings is everything. We must therefore store treasures in heaven by means of sufferings and most importanly by showing mercy to our neighbours rather than storing treasures on earth. As the bible tells us that the whole duty of men is to fear God and keep His commandments. The Bible did not tell us that the whole duty of men is to accumulate wealth here on earth. In fact the bible tells us that it is hard for those rich person who trust in wealth to enter the kingdom of heaven. In other words, to fear God means to avoid committing sin. Avoid doing what is not right in the sight of God. And to keep His commandments which includes obeying The Ten Commandments given by God to Moses on Mount Sinai. By showing mercy to our neighbours, we are also doing the duty of men as what was told by the bible. We are making Our Lord Jesus Christ happy when we show mercy. Who knows that in the day of judgment, we can be judged according to the mercy that we’ve shown while still on earth, and if that will be the case, we can expect a favorable judgment at the second coming of Christ. Nowadays, The Devotion To The Divine Mercy is very important and it’s a must that it should be practice in our daily living. 1155, 1158 The Lord gave St. Faustina knowledge of His will to perform at least one act of mercy a day; at least one, but there can be many more, for such deeds can easily be carried out by anyone, even the very poorest. For there are three ways of performing an act of mercy: the merciful word, by forgiving and by comforting; secondly, if you can offer no word, then pray - that too is mercy; and thirdly, deeds of mercy. And when the Last Day comes, we shall be judged from this, and on this basis we shall receive the eternal verdict. 742 The Lord told St. Faustina “I demand from you deeds of mercy, which are to arise out of love for Me. You are to show mercy to your neighbors always and everywhere. You must not shrink from this or try to excuse or absolve yourself from it. I am giving you three ways of exercising mercy toward your neighbor: the first- by deed, the second - by word, the third - by prayer. In these three degrees is contained the fullness of mercy, and it is an unquestionable proof of love for Me. By this means a soul glorifies and pays reverence to My mercy. Yes, the first Sunday after Easter is the Feast of Mercy, but there must also be acts of mercy, and I demand the worship of My mercy through the solemn celebration of the Feast and through the veneration of the image which is painted. By means of this image I shall grant many graces to souls because even the strongest (163) faith is of no avail without works.“ 1577 The Lord told St. Faustina “Tell souls not to place within their own hearts obstacles to My mercy, which so greatly wants to act within them. My mercy works in all those hearts which open their doors to it. Both the sinner and the righteous person have need (148) of My mercy.“ 347 The Lord told St. Faustina “The graces of My mercy are drawn by means of one vessel only, and that is - trust. The more a soul trusts, the more it will receive.“ Through Saint Faustina. The merciful Savior Lord Jesus Christ has given the aching world new channels for the outpouring of His grace. These new channels include: 1) The Image of The Divine Mercy 2) The Feast of Mercy (Divine Mercy Sunday) 3) The Chaplet 4) The Novena to The Divine Mercy 5) Prayer at 3 O’clock in the afternoon, the Hour of Great Mercy 1) The Image of The Divine Mercy The Lord told St. Faustina “Paint an image according to the pattern you see, with the signature: Jesus, I trust in You. (Diary, 47). “I want this image... to be solemnly blessed on the first Sunday after Easter;that Sunday is to be the Feast of Mercy“ (Diary, 49). 48 The Lord told St. Faustina “I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish. I also promise victory over [its] enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I Myself will defend it as My own glory.“ I desire that this image be venerated, first in your chapel, and [then} throughout the world. 327 The Lord told St. Faustina “I am offering people a vessel with which they are to keep coming for graces to the fountain of mercy. That vessel is this image with the signature: “Jesus, I trust in You.“ (NOTE: The image of “The Divine Mercy“ can be downloaded in the internet since it does not allow copy-paste of this image from this article) 2) The Feast of Mercy also known as “Divine Mercy Sunday” The Lord told St. Faustina “No soul will be justified until it turns with confidence to My mercy; and this is why the first Sunday after Easter is to be the Feast of Mercy, and on that day, priests are to tell everyone about My great and unfathomable mercy“ (Diary, 570). “I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners“ (Diary, 699). “I am giving them the last hope of salvation, that is, recourse to My Mercy. If they will not adore My mercy, they will perish for all eternity“ (cf. Diary, 965, 998). Whoever approached the Fount of Life on this day will be granted complete remission of sins and punishment“ (Diary, 300), and also, “On this day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My Mercy... Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet“ (Diary, 699). The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy. It is My desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. 3) The Chaplet Of The Divine Mercy The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy is recited and prayed everyday using ordinary rosary beads of five decades. This is the way to pray it: FIRST: Begin with the Sign of the Cross, 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary and The Apostles Creed. SECOND: Then on the Our Father Beads say the following: Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. THIRD: On the 10 Hail Mary Beads say the following: For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. (Repeat the FIRST and SECOND steps for all five decades). FOURTH: Conclude with (three times): Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world. PARTING/FAREWELL WORDS: Amen, Jesus, King Of Mercy, I Trust In You... 4) Novena To The Divine Mercy Once a year, pray the nine-day “Novena To The Divine Mercy“ which will start on Good Friday and ends on Easter Saturday. This is the prayer of the Novena To The Divine Mercy: First Day (Good Friday) 1210 Today, bring to Me all mankind, especially all sinners, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. In this way you will console Me in the bitter grief into which the loss of souls plunges Me. 1211 Most Merciful Jesus, whose very nature it is to have compassion on us and to forgive us, do not look upon our sins but upon our trust which (58) we place in Your infinite goodness. Receive us all into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart, and never let us escape from it. We beg this of You by Your love which unites You to the Father and the Holy Spirit. Oh omnipotence of Divine Mercy, Salvation of sinful people, You re a sea of mercy and compassion; You aid those who entreat You with humility. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon all mankind and especially upon poor sinners, all enfolded in the Most Compassionate heart of Jesus. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, show us Your mercy, that we may praise the omnipotence of Your mercy forever and ever. Amen. Second Day (Holy Saturday) 1212 Today bring to me the souls of priests and religious, and immerse them in My unfathomable mercy. It was they who gave Me the strength to endure My bitter Passion. Through them, as through channels, My mercy flows out upon mankind. 1213 Most Merciful Jesus, from whom comes all that is good, increase Your grace in us, that we may perform worthy works of mercy, and that all who see them may glorify the Father of Mercy who is in heaven. The Fountain of God’s love Dwells in pure hearts, Bathed in the Sea of Mercy, Radiant as stars, bright as the dawn. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze (59) upon the company [of chosen ones] in Your vineyard - upon the souls of priests and religious; and endow them with the strength of Your blessing. For the love of the Heart of your Son in which they are enfolded, impart to them Your power and light, that they may be able to guide others in the way of salvation, and with one voice sing praise to Your boundless mercy for ages without end. Amen. Third Day (Easter Sunday) 1214 Today bring to Me all devout and faithful souls, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. These souls brought Me consolation on the Way of the Cross. They were that drop of consolation in the midst of an ocean of bitterness. 1215 Most Merciful Jesus, from the treasury of Your mercy You impart Your graces in great abundance to each and all. Receive us into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and never let us escape from it. We beg this of You by that most wondrous love for the heavenly Father with which Your Heart burns so fiercely. The miracles of mercy are impenetrable. Neither the sinner nor just one will fathom them. When You cast upon us an eye of pity, You draw us all closer to Your love Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon faithful souls, as upon the inheritance of your Son. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, grant them Your blessing and surround them with Your constant protection. Thus may they never fail in love or lose the treasure of the holy faith, but rather, with all the hosts of Angels and Saints, may they glorify your boundless mercy for endless ages. Amen. Fourth Day (Easter Monday) 1216 Today bring to Me the pagans and those who do not yet know Me. I was thinking also of them during My bitter Passion, and their future zeal comforted My Heart. Immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. 1217 Most compassionate Jesus, You are the Light of the whole world. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of pagans who as yet do not know You. Let the rays of Your grace enlighten them that they, too, together with us, may extol Your wonderful mercy; and do not let them escape from the abode which is Your Most Compassionate Heart. May the light of Your love Enlighten the souls in darkness; Grant that these souls will know You And, together with us, praise Your mercy. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of pagans and of those who as yet do not know You, but who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate heart of Jesus. Draw them to the light of the Gospel. These souls do not know what great happiness it is to love You. Grant that they, too, may extol the generosity of Your mercy for endless ages. Amen. Fifth Day (Easter Tuesday) 1218 Today bring to Me the souls of heretics and schismatics, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. During My bitter Passion they tore at My Body and Heart; that is, My Church. As they return to unity with the Church, My wounds heal, and in this way they alleviate My Passion. 1219 Most Merciful Jesus, Goodness Itself, You do not refuse light to those who seek it of You. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of heretics and schismatics. Draw them by Your light into the unity of the Church, and do not let them escape from the abode of Your Most Compassionate heart; but bring it about that they, too, come to extol the generosity of Your mercy. Even for those who have torn the garment of Your unity, A fount of mercy flows from Your Heart. The omnipotence of Your mercy, Oh God, Can lead these souls also out of error. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of heretics and schismatics, who have squandered Your blessings and misused Your graces by obstinately persisting in their errors. Do not look upon their errors, but upon the love of Your own Son and upon His bitter Passion, which He underwent for their sake, since they, too, are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Bring it about that they also may glorify Your great mercy for endless ages. Amen. Sixth Day (Easter Wednesday) 1220 Today bring to me the meek and humble souls and the souls of little children, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls most closely resemble My Heart. They strengthened Me during My bitter agony. I saw them as earthly Angels, who would keep vigil at My altars. I pour out upon them whole torrents of grace. Only the humble soul is able to receive My grace. I favor humble souls with My confidence. 1221 Most Merciful Jesus, You yourself have said, “Learn from Me for I am meek and humble of heart.“ Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart all meek and humble souls and the souls of little children. These souls send all heaven into ecstasy and they are the heavenly Father’s favorites. They are a sweet-smelling bouquet before the throne of God; God Himself takes delight in their fragrance. These souls have a permanent abode in Your Most Compassionate Heart, O Jesus, and they unceasingly sing out a hymn of love and mercy. A truly gentle and humble soul Already here on earth the air of paradise breathes, And in the fragrance of her humble heart The Creator Himself delights. 1223 Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon meek and humble souls, and upon the souls of little children who are enfolded in the abode which is the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls bear the closest resemblance to Your Son. Their fragrance rises from the earth and reaches Your very throne. Father of mercy and of all goodness, I beg You by the love You bear these souls and by the delight You take in them: Bless the whole world, that all souls together may sing out the praises of your mercy for endless ages. Amen. Seventh Day (Easter Thursday) 1224 Today bring to me the souls who especially venerate and glorify My mercy, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls sorrowed most over My Passion and entered most deeply into My Spirit. They are living images of My Compassionate heart. These souls will shine with a special brightness in the next life. Not one of them will go into the fire of hell. I shall particularly defend each one of them at the hour of death. 1225 Most Merciful Jesus, whose Heart is Love Itself, receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who particularly extol and venerate the greatness of Your mercy. These souls are mighty with the very power of God Himself. In the midst of all afflictions and adversities they go forward, confident of Your mercy. These souls are united to Jesus and carry all mankind on their shoulders. These souls will not be judged severely, but Your mercy will embrace them as they depart from this life. A soul who praises the goodness of her Lord Is especially loved by Him. She is always close to the living fountain And draws graces from Mercy Divine. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls who glorify and venerate Your greatest attribute, that of Your fathomless mercy, and who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls are a living Gospel; their hands are full of deeds of mercy, and their spirit, overflowing with joy, sings a canticle of mercy to You, O Most High! I beg You O God: Show them Your mercy according to the hope and trust they have placed in You. Let there be accomplished in them the promise of Jesus, who said to them, I Myself will defend as My own glory, during their lifetime, and especially at the hour of their death, those souls who will venerate My fathomless mercy. Eight Day (Easter Friday) 1226 Today bring to Me the souls who are in the prison of Purgatory, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. Let the torrents of My Blood cool down their scorching flames. All these souls are greatly loved by Me. They are making retribution to My justice. It is in your power to bring them relief. Draw all the indulgences from the treasury (64) of My Church and offer them on their behalf. Oh, if you only knew the torments they suffer, you would continually offer for them the alms of the spirit and pay off their debt to My justice. 1227 Most Merciful Jesus, You Yourself have said that You desire mercy; so I bring into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls in Purgatory, souls who are very dear to You, and yet, who must make retribution to Your justice. May the streams of Blood and Water which gushed forth from Your Heart put out the flames of the purifying fire, that in that place, too, the power of Your mercy may be praised. From that terrible heat of the cleansing fire Rises a plaint to Your mercy, And they receive comfort, refreshment, relief In the stream of mingled Blood and Water. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls suffering in Purgatory, who are enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. I beg You, by the sorrowful Passion of Jesus Your Son, and by all the bitterness with which His most sacred Soul was flooded, manifest Your mercy to the souls who are under Your just scrutiny. Look upon them in no other way than through the Wounds of Jesus, Your dearly beloved Son; for we firmly believe that there is no limit to Your goodness and compassion. Ninth Day (Easter Saturday) 1228 Today bring to Me souls who have become lukewarm, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. These souls wound My Heart most painfully. My soul suffered the most dreadful loathing in the Garden of Olives because of lukewarm souls. They were the reason I cried out: “Father, take this cup away from Me, if it be Your will.“ For them, the last hope of salvation is to flee to My mercy. 1229 Most Compassionate Jesus, You are Compassion Itself. I bring lukewarm souls into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart. In this fire of Your pure love let these tepid souls, who like corpses, filled You with such deep loathing, be once again set aflame. O Most Compassionate Jesus, exercise the omnipotence of Your mercy and draw them into the very ardor of Your love; and bestow upon them the gift of holy love, for nothing is beyond Your power. Fire and ice cannot be joined; Either the fire dies, or the ice melts. But by Your mercy, O God, You can make up for all that is lacking. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon lukewarm souls, who are nonetheless enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Father of Mercy, I beg You by the bitter Passion of Your Son and by His three-hour agony on the Cross; Let them, too, glorify the abyss of Your mercy... 5) Prayer at 3 O’clock in the afternoon, the Hour of Great Mercy You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us. O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You! “Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.“ “Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.“ “Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.“ Amen Jesus king of mercy I Trust In You CONCLUSION: Things to do nowadays to attain salvation and have Eternal Life as told by the LORD JESUS to Saint Faustina: 1) Venerate “The Image Of The Divine Mercy“ on the “Feast Of Mercy“ day which is also called “Divine Mercy Sunday“ and it is celebrated on the First Sunday after Easter Sunday. Go first to confession on or before the “Feast Of Mercy“ day and attend mass on the “Feast Of Mercy“ day while venerating/worshiping with great respect “The Image Of The Divine Mercy“ which will be displayed in front of the altar and this image will be visible for every Catholic Church. On this day, it is a MUST that you take the Holy Communion. 2) As a way of performing an act of mercy a day at the same time is also a means by which you can exercise mercy toward your neighbor, pray the “Chaplet Of The Divine Mercy“ everyday and also pray everyday the Prayer at 3 O’clock in the afternoon, the Hour of Great Mercy. 3) Avoid committing sin anymore and most importantly TRUST and have FAITH in our LORD JESUS CHRIST 4) Once a year, pray the nine-day “Novena To The Divine Mercy“ which will start on Good Friday and ends on Easter Saturday.
