Keep pain killers at bay to have a healthy sex life

Erectile dysfunction is a problem that devastates the life of many people who suffer from it. Men especially older men fall prey to this problem of impotence and make their lives real hell. There have been several studies though that proves that there are other reasons as well that lead to this problem of erectile dysfunction in men. A recent study shows that me who take pills to reduce pain of some kind are more prone to developing ED. It has been found that men who take pain killers on a regular basis to treat severe pain such as the aches that accompanies age have chances of getting this problem faster than the others. This study went on to project that men who were middle aged and reportedly took nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) were more likely to have problems with erection as compared to the men who take in  small quantities or do not take it at all. The study was published in The Journal of Urology. It further said that having a regular use of aspirin, naproxen and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is more prevalent in older men as compared to the younger lot as facing health related issue is more common among the old people. The study observed that those men who consumed NSAIDS at least five days per week are the ones who are readily affected by the erectile dysfunction.

It is a common observation that effects of smoking, alcohol and other ED risk factors badly affect the erection ability. However the study shows that men taking pain killers regularly have 38% more chances of developing this problem than the others.
